The Science Behind The Barrelettes
1. The Inspiration Wet sets were a family ritual passed down from Dr. Lisa Grain’s grandmother Ellen to her mother Carolyn, and now to her daughter Chelsea. When her beloved vintage French bouffant rollers could no longer be replaced, she saw an opportunity to reimagine a timeless styling tool. Drawing on her scientific background and decades of experience with roller setting, she set out to create a modern design that would honor the qualities of the original while elevating its performance.
2. Over A Decade of Refinement French Barrelettes is the result of eleven years of thoughtful development, rigorous testing, and meticulous refinement. Working closely with engineers and Professional Stylists, Dr. Grain incorporated their expertise and feedback to develop a versatile styling system designed to perform across a range of hair types, textures, and techniques.
3. Engineered from the Inside Out At the heart of each Barrelette is a patent-pending stainless-steel honeycomb core, precision-designed with hexagonal cutouts to enhance airflow and heat distribution. The core absorbs and distributes heat during styling, while its open structure allows air to circulate efficiently, helping to reduce drying time.
A breathable, perforated polyester covering completes the design, helping to reduce frizz and create smoother, shinier results. Unlike plastic and foam rollers, French Barrelettes feature an innovative construction and durable materials designed for long-term use."
